First before anything else.. YES I KNOW HE DOESN'T HAVE HIS BANDANA!!! I didn't WANT to draw it. but yes..I did forget the belt and knee guards. Oh well. ;D Anyway, I didn't want the mask because you couldn't see all the nifty wrinkles about his eyes if I'd drawn it in. This was hand drawn in pencils only and then digitally colored in open canvas and then finished off in photoshop. I'm really thrilled with how it came out. The TMNT are the reasons I started drawing anthros, so I really can't thank their creators enough for inspiring me to learn how to draw people and humanoid creatures. I hope you all enjoy it even if it isn't 'cute'. Some times you just got to do something a little wicked.

Another experiment to see what mediums work well together. I think I'm finally happy with this technique. The winning combination was brought together by the type of illustration board. The other ones I've tried just weren't suited for watercolors and didn't have much tooth. This one was extra thick and didn't warp or bubble when wet. I have a feeling it was the 5 dollar board. argh. I think I may start using this combination more in the future for some of my commissions since my markers are pretty much dead. I hope ya like it!

IMVU is a nifty 3d chat program that allows you to customize and create items for your avatar. It's kind of like 2nd life except you don't need a high end graphics card to run it. First off, I know the legs are a bit wonky. I have a tendency to work fast, and some times I don't give myself enough of an opportunity to realize something's off before I ink it. Either way I'm still happy with the image and with this new coloring technique. I wanted to see if I could achieve a marker look using photoshop. Prints are available.
